No one tagged me to do this, but I’m going to do it anyway because I love fall. And I don’t have a book review because I’m doing The Young Elites as a trilogy review, not just a single review for each. Anyway…onto the tag!

1. Hot Chocolate – what is your comfort book?
Hmm… I suppose it would be all of the books I’ve had on my shelves for years which I keep around even though I don’t read them often anymore. Just having the books and seeing them makes me feel safe. If I had to choose just one book, I would probably say Along for the Ride by Sarah Dessen. Even though I don’t have a copy, I could read this book a million times and never get sick of it.
2. Pumpkin Carving – what is your favorite creative outlet?
My blog? I don’t have much other creative outlets. I used to write, but I haven’t in a long time. I want to start painting and doing cross stitch soon. I tried knitting, but it didn’t go well.
3. Falling Leaves – changes that appear bad but you secretly love?
Ever growing up. I remember when he was born, and all the struggles of a newborn and everything else. It was tough. The first few months were some of the hardest of my life. But at this point, he is six months old and I love how much he’s becoming his own person and growing and changing. Soon he’s going to be crawling, and I am so stoked for this new adventure he’ll be embarking on.
4. Pumpkin Spiced Latte – something you love that others tend to judge.
Reading? I know I’m seeped in a culture of readers on my blog and on other social media. But I think some people are judgmental about reading when they are all so obsessed with other things instead. I would say also my intense love for Hulu. I can’t fathom how anyone could prefer Netflix.
5. Bonfire Night – what makes you explode with joy?
My cats 🥰
6. Fright Night – favorite scary book or film
I really love Halloween. Michael Meyers is bad ass.
7. Halloween candy – favorite thing to eat
Grapes and onion rings. Not together because I’m not pregnant, but these are definitely some of my favorite foods. Or salty movie theater popcorn slathered in the fake butter. Yum.
8. Scarves – your autumn ‘must have’ accessory
Hoodies and boots.
9. Fire – a book or film that burns your soul
I think everyone should read Sarah J Maas. I know it’s not a popular thing to say, but I love all of her books so freaking much.
10. Toffee apples – a book or film that seems one thing but really has a different inside
The Color Purple. You think it’s just about two sisters who are separated. But it’s about a journey to self acceptance and love for Celie through so many experiences, and it’s one of the most beautiful movies I’ve ever seen.
