Four Favorite Harry Potter Spells [Blogtober]

Remember how I like Villains? I also like evil spells. Oops.

So here are my four favorite Harry Potter spells.

Avada Kedavra: the Killing Curse; causes a green flash of light; Harry Potter is the only known survivor of this curse; one of three Unforgivable Curses banned by the Ministry of Magic

What can I say? I’m probably the type of person who would use this. I mean, I know just because I am a slytherin doesn’t mean I should be like evil, but sometimes things just happen. Honestly I would have loved this one when I worked in customer service and has the nasty customers. Or on Twitter with those really horrible people you just want gone.

Crucio: causes the victim extreme pain; one of three Unforgivable Curses banned by the Ministry of Magic

I would use this one on my ex partner who was super abusive and manipulative. I don’t want to get too heavy here, but he’s one person who deserves it above all else.

Imperio: removes the victim’s free will and ability to make decisions for him- or herself; one of three Unforgivable Curses banned by the Ministry of Magic

Hear me out. I know this one is so bad, but I just need it on days I want Ethan to do chores or leave the house sooner and he’s playing Skyrim. Just like a temporary version? I never said I was a good person all the time or even at all.

 Morsmordre: conjures the Dark Mark

All I’m saying is this would be a bad ass tattoo. I’ve actually wanted to get this tattooed on me, but I’m not sure since I already have a Harry Potter tattoo. Just saying though it would be an awesome tattoo.

So… what are your favorite spells from Harry Potter? I bet they aren’t the same as mine. So please judge me as you will. But I’m just who I am. And now I want to watch these movies again. Oops.

Until I rant about books again,

Favorite Reading Drinks [Blogtober]

I’m probably super boring when it comes to my choices for favorite Reading drinks. We don’t drink soda often. I avoid caffeine. I don’t go to cafes or Starbucks. Usually I’m at home with the baby so I just drink the most boring of drinks.

I adore tea. It’s been a recent thing since we moved. I have an awesome giant tea kettle. I drink raspberry or peach tea. I’m also weird and put soy milk and honey in my tea. Sometimes sugar. I adore a nice mug of tea with a book. It’s so relaxing. I never have time to take nice photos so you get a stock image. I’m so creative.

Water is also common. I used to detest water, but it is actually awesome now. I didn’t even like drinking it when I was pregnant. Literally what got me into drinking water more was a reusable metal straw. It just makes me feel like I don’t mind drinking the water and it’s easy to sip from while reading a book.

What are your favorite reading drinks? I’m sure they are more exciting than mine. Let me know below.

Until I rant about books again,

Favorite Book Bloggers

I just wanted to take a moment to just make a quick post about my favorite book bloggers. These are the people who brighten my day and I consider to be friends in the blogging world (I hope they consider me a friend as well).

Who are some of your favorite bloggers? I’d love to know.

Favorite Vampire or Werewolf [Blogtober]

Oh, my goodness. My teen self is living for this prompt so badly. It brings me back to my Twilight days. I still think Bella should have ended up with Jacob. So I’m very excited to talk about my favorite vampire and werewolf.

Jasper Hale: From being in the Civil War to fighting in the Southern Vampire Wars, Jasper has been a longtime favorite. I think it’s because he’s so quiet and intense. I adore him in every scene he’s in. Especially when he finally meets Alice, and he’s able to feel hope. I used to read jasper fanfic, and I’m not even ashamed.

Remus Lupin: I adore Lupin so much. I think it’s how he faces adversity head on, and he’s prepared to face whatever comes his way. I love his relationship with the other Marauders though I’m sad he and Sirius never got to really spend time together again or with Harry. There are so many sad things about the progression of loss Lupin goes through. He loses himself and is a werewolf, he loses his childhood best friends, and he loses his life and Tonks to save his son.

I know some people could go on and on about these topics, but I wanted to keep it simple. These are my favorite from each supernatural being category. I’d love to know your favorites or what you think of mine. Please chat with me about these things, I’m eager to discuss.

Until I rant about books again,

Favorite Reading Snacks [Blogtober]

This is such an easy post to write because I know what snacks I live for. Not that anyone cares, but I’m a huge fan of Aldi. This is where we do almost all of our shopping because of their organic and non GMO selection of food. We only go other places for baby food for Ever since Aldi doesn’t have a lot of those he can eat yet. But these are my favorite must have reading snacks, no matter the season.

These are the most addicting pretzel thins around. I cannot get enough of their seasonal garlic Parmesan flavor. I’m salivating right now thinking about them. The perfect amount of salt and crunch with exquisite flavor.

I’ve been a huge popcorn fan my whole life. This popcorn is good because it’s just salted and so good. I become a chipmunk with this popcorn, trying to shove as much as I can in my mouth at one time and eat it all. It’s a little healthier too, which is never a bad thing.

These taste like pringles. What more reason do you need 🤷🏻‍♀️?

I also really enjoy fruit. Grapes, bananas, and apples are my favorite to snack on while reading. I also will have yogurt or tea with soy milk. I am a huge eater while reading because of the baby so I could go on and on. But I’m going to stop. I’d love to hear about your favorite snacks, for autumn or all seasons. Let me know what you’re chowing on while you read. Food is never a bad topic.

Top 5 Disney Villains

Day 5 of Blogtober! Wow, what fun this has been so far. Today I’m super excited to be sharing my top 5 Disney Villains with you. I am the type who enjoys the villains more than heroes. I don’t know why I am this way, but I accept it with open arms happily. Anyway. My top 5 Disney Villains are…

So, let’s talk about those cheekbones. I’d sell my soul for those cheekbones Maleficent has. They are so beautiful. Also, it’s super relatable how she acts towards children because they can be pains. I only mean the Angelina Jolie one though because The Sleeping Beauty cartoon movie has been super boring to me my entire life.

Ursula is another favorite because she’s who I became. I enjoy hiding in my house with my cats and I would probably put spells on people who came around to annoy me. Teenagers are stupid, and I don’t blame her for what she did. If someone is going to be dumb and not listen to your warnings, actions have consequences. I think Ursula deserved better than what she got.

Hades is a favorite because I felt bad for him growing up. He just wants a better piece of the pie than he’s given. Zeus is kind of stupid anyway, so I don’t blame Hades for what he did. I do need a really good Hades romance retelling though… I need to find one ASAP. Seriously, Hades is funny and he’s got all these dead people to do his bidding if he wants so I definitely think he’s amazing.

Uzma is just one of my favorite Villains because The Emperors New Groove is one of the best and most underrated movies. Pull the lever Kronk! Or when she takes the wrong potion… just all of her in that movie is extremely hilarious.

I like Scar just because I had a cute little finger puppet when I was little, and Be Prepared is a kick ass song. Yeah, it’s Hamlet with lions. But it’s so darn good.

These are my top five favorite Disney Villains. I’m looking forward to seeing what other people post about. Actually, I just want to talk Villains. Let’s do so. They are my favorite!
