Villains are my favorite. I’m sure you’ve learned this by now if you read my blog. And thank you for reading my blog, it means so much anyone would want to read about the silly things I say.

Let’s talk about the villain I love above all else.

Maven Calore.

If you’re not familiar, Maven is from the Red Queen series by Victoria Aveyard. I’ve loved Maven from the start, and I’m still so angry about how he was done so dirty. I will never forgive the series for this.

“He is a product of his mother’s meddling, a thorned flower forced to grow a certain way.”

I don’t know what is I love about Maven, but he’s been a favorite for a long time. Yes, I know he’s problematic and abusive. I should know better than to be trash for these types of characters, but sometimes I’m only human. Seriously. I think I just like the dark bad boy thing.

I love him and Mare so much I read smutty fanfic about them. The darker the better.

I think Maven would have served well to have his own series written about him being dark and just a villain. I would have read it so hard. Well, I can dream it. But since I don’t want to give spoilers, I jus want to say Maven was misunderstood and should have gotten better than he was given.
