WWW Wednesday #2 [January 15, 2019]

This meme was formerly hosted by MizB at A Daily Rhythm and revived on Taking on a World of Words. Just answer the three questions below and leave a link to your post in the comments for others to look at. No blog? No problem! Just leave a comment with your responses.

What are the questions, you may ask?

The Three Ws are:

What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

I am currently reading:

I’m listening to this on Hoopla, and it’s very fun. I don’t like this as much as the other books set in the universe, but since I want to read them all, I’m working my way to finish. This one is about a park ranger and this woman hiking… and they get stuck in a cabin due to snow. Such a cheesy trope, but it’s still pretty cute. I’m hoping to finish this by the end of the week.

I recently finished:

Second in the series, and it’s so gooey goodness. I like how the characters are mature and have lives. They have children and established jobs and just a place in the community. I love how these books are set around the library, and I’ll be sad when it’s done. But I have other ones to read and then I can start The Winston Brothers!

I’m thinking of starting this next:

This has been on my to read for ages! So I should just finally get around to it. Plus, reading it would mean I could start getting through all of my unread owned books. I say I’m going to start this… but time will tell if I finally do start it.

What did you read this week? I’d love to hear all about it. Share your WWW posts with me, too.

WWW Wednesday #1 [Jaunary 8, 2019]

Ah, it’s my first WWW Wednesday post of the year. I’ll be doing this every other Wednesday. I’ll be doing discussions and other things on Wednesday depending on my schedule. So anyway, let’s get to the books!

I was rejected for this on NetGalley (no one is shocked )… but Hoopla had it on audio so I picked it up. However, I am also reading it for the book club on Patreon Beautifully Bookish Bethany has. It’s all month long, so I’m taking my time. I’ll probably be done before the end of the month, so I’m hoping for something good. I don’t love it so far, but I was told it’s going to get better. We will see.

I finished this last week, and it was so adorable. There is a review I wrote available on Reads and Reels, a blog I help contribute to. Check it out for my full thoughts.

I found this audio book on Hoopla. I chose it for the cover. I don’t know much about it. I know it’s in the Penny Reid universe. I still need to read The Winston Brothers series, and I’m reading another book series in the same setting on Kindle Unlimited. I don’t want too many spoilers, but this is what I’m looking forward to soon. It’s my next audio book after The Wives.

WWW Wednesday [Oct. 30]

WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Sam @Taking On A World Of Words, the rules are simple you just have to answer these three questions:

What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

I do like this one, but I’m not fully sure because of the mixed reviews. I’m just wondering if it was written because of the show (which I haven’t caught up on) so I don’t have a definitive answer about my feelings regarding this book yet.

I started watching Rizzoli & Isles years ago, but I never finished the series now I’m watching it again. I decided it was a perfect time to pick up the novels, too. I’m hoping for good things.

I’m listening to this on audio on Scribd with the free trial. I’m definitely liking this book, and I can see why it’s gotten such high ratings. However, I’m not a fan of Scribd so I’m glad I made sure to cancel my free trial so I wouldn’t be charged.

I recently finished:

This was a cover pick from NetGalley, but I really liked this book. I’ll have a review on it closer to its publication date in November. So, more thoughts coming soon.

I wanted to love this book, but it fell short of my expectations. This one also has a review coming soon.

Next I may read:

I started this series last month, and then I changed my tbr for a readathon I was doing so I didn’t read it. Next month is non fiction November, and I may be doing Tree Hill Athon casually as well, so I may pick this book up, I may not.

What is your WWW Wednesday looking like? I’d love to see your posts so share them with me. This is definitely one of my favorite weekly posts (which I call meme posts on my blog because I’m odd).

WWW Wednesday [October 23 2019]

I took some time off from my blog so I forgot to post yesterday so I missed one day of Blogtober, but I think that’s okay! I’m trying not to be too hard on myself. So I’m back with a WWW Wednesday!

Currently reading:

Part of my challenge to read all of the books from Reese’s book club. I went to the library and couldn’t resist when I saw it. It doesn’t fit it with Tropeathon, but I couldn’t wait.

This was a Libby hold which came in at the perfect time. I’m using it for one of the criteria with Tropeathon.

This is an audio book I’m listening too. The latest in the series, and then I’ll be canceling my Audible Escapes. I enjoy it, but I’d rather use Kindle Unlimited since I only have a certain amount to spend on books.

I recently finished:

These were short reads from KU. I wanted to be able to complete all criteria in Tropeathon without stressing myself out so I’ve been doing some shorter reading.

I plan to read next:

For the love of goodness, it’s been on my tbr for two months. I just need to get it read. I think it’ll be awesome.

And that’s my WWW Wednesday. What are you reading? How’s your week looking? Let me know below, I’d love to chat.

Until I rant about books again,

I saw this one on YouTube and Kayla @ Books and Blends did a review on both of them. So I decided I was going to read it soon. Then last night I asked Ethan which one I should read, and he said this one so I started it. Sometimes I just have him choose my books so I don’t have to think about it.

Both of these books were really great. Love and Other Wild Things is a very entertaining audio book, but I don’t understand how there seems to be the same storyline in each book so I was a little annoyed with that. Xeni is a book I’ve seen everyone reading, and I couldn’t stop reading it. I was lucky to receive an arc from the author, and I agree with everyone enjoying this book… once you start, you won’t be able to stop. It’s also the first time I read a book with a pegging scene so it was a new experience, too.

I will probably read this next:

This one showed up in my popular books on Audible Escapes. I just need a break demo Mystic Bayou for a bit so I thought a Contemporary could be cute.

And that’s everything in my reading stratosphere right now. What’s going on with your WWW Wednesday? I’d love to see your post and talk books!

Until I rant about books again,

WWW Wednesday [October 9 2019]

It’s time for WWW Wednesday! This meme was originally hosted by A Daily Rhythm but was revived by Sam from Taking on a World of Words. It’s a place to talk about the books you’ve been reading, plan to read and have read.

To take part all you have to do is answer the following questions:

What are you currently reading?

What have you recently finished reading?

What are you going to read next?

I am currently reading:

  • How To Date Your Dragon by Molly Harper on Audible Escapes. I’m enjoying the free month trial. I plan to start using the library for audio books more often. To save money and because I don’t listen to audio books enough to justify paying for Audible Escapes.
  • The Academy of Stolen Magic by Sullivan Gray. This is an ARC I got from the author awhile back, and I just kept putting it off. I really adored the first book so I have high hopes for this book as well.

I recently finished:

The Witches Halloween Hero on Audible Escapes.

I am planning on:

This is one of my favorite weekly posts. It’s so much fun to see what everyone is reading, read, or will read. I would love to know what you’re reading. Or if you’ve read any of these books or want to. Please, let me know.

Until I rant about books again,

WWW Wednesday [October 2]

Welcome to WWW Wednesday! This meme was formerly hosted by MizB at A Daily Rhythm and revived here on Taking on a World of Words.

The Three Ws are:

What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

Currently reading:

I’ve just started both of these books. The Young Elites has been sitting on my shelf for so long. Thin Air was picked up because I needed a break from romance so I decided to go through the thriller route.

Recently finished:

Finished this one not too long ago. I thought I was going to love it, but I was disappointed. I have a review with my thoughts posted.

Reading next?!

I’m planning to read the next book in The Young Elites trilogy. Just makes sense. I’m looking forward to completing this series in the month of October.

I’d love to see if you’re doing WWW Wednesday. Let me know if you are. This is such a fun weekly post.

Until I rant about books again,

WWW Wednesday [September 25]

WWW Wednesday is hosted by Sam @ Taking on a World of Words! All you have to do is answers the following three questions: What are you currently reading? What did you recently finish reading? What do you think you’ll read next?

What am I currently reading?

I’m currently reading my first Harlequin Intrigue novel in years. It’s the third in a series about a serial killer so I’m a little behind, but I’m definitely enjoying it so far. The characters have been apart for seven years so I’m excited to see how they reunite and if the mystery of who this killer is will be solved yet.

What did I recently finish?

I recently finished yet another Christmas romance. You would think I’m getting sick of them, but I’m still going strong. I have a full review of this book available on my blog.

What do I think I’ll read next?

This one won’t be right away because of the other NetGalley books I have right now, but I’m excited about this one because of the jojo moyes blurb. I’ve kind of wanted a book that makes me cry. I haven’t had that in a very long time. It was just a book I could not resist so I’m glad I was approved.

That’s what I’m currently reading, what I finished, and what I’ll be reading next (soonish). I’d love to see what you’re reading or what you’ve finished or planning to read soon. Let me know.

Until I rant about books again,

WWW Wednesday [September 18 2019]

It’s Wednesday. This is my first time doing this post so bear with me if it turns out not so well. I’m working on doing more with my blog, and I thought doing things like this will be a great place to start. So here’s what WWW Wednesday is about and all that jazz.

WWW Wednesday takes place every Wednesday and was originally hosted by MizB at A Daily Rhythm before moving to Taking on a World of Words.  Here is what you’re sharing..

What are you currently reading?

What did you recently finish reading?

What do you think you’ll read next?

So far, I’m not loving this one. I think the narrators are a little annoying and the tense in the book switches from past to present in the same sentence. I’m disappointed because I thought I would love this book.

I recently finished

This is a cute Christmas romance. I talked about it in my recent wrap up and on Goodreads. I am not quite in the Christmas mood yet since we haven’t hit Halloween, but I had to get this done for NetGalley.

I’m thinking next I’ll read

This was suggested by Chandler Ainsley in her latest Kindle Unlimited recommendations. I started it, and I liked the beginning so I have a good outlook on how much I’ll like this book.

Well, this was my first WWW Wednesday. I’m not sure if I did this write, but I tried. I look forward to others WwW Wednesday posts.
